Plagiarism
This week we are learning about the importance of plagiarism. We had a couple of question to choose from about plagiarism. The question that I decide to talk about is how would I feel if someone published something that I created. While first I would be very upset about this and a bit mad. I mean if I spend hours working in a paper and then someone just decides to steal my words and saying it was theirs, that's just not right. I believe that when plagiarism is present people just don't think that, that person has worked very hard to gather the information for someone to just come and steal their work.

I have had somebody steal my work before back when I was in junior high. We were learning about the periodic table of elements and also working in a group. Each group got asssigned a few elements to look up. I don't know why I found the elements interesting, but I decided to really go for it with this project. I created a document that had lots of resarch done, but it was not the final paper that we had to write. My team member had actually stolen my ideas and used them as their own when they wrote their final paper. I could not prove this to the teacher, and we both ended up getting a good grade, but it didn't take away how upset I was. All the work I had done and the effot I put forth was used as somebody elses, when he had done absolutly nothing to help with the project.
